Flat Racing
We train the flat horses on the farm a bit differently than at the racetrack, they are allowed to be turned out in small paddocks or roundpens so they aren’t cooped up in dusty stalls 23 hours a day, and we find that varying their daily routine with long hacks and hill work not only gets them fit, but occupies their mind as well. We are a short ship to Penn National, Laurel, Charles Town, Philly Park, and Delaware Park.
Having had a successful year at the racetrack training in this fashion, we offer owners the option of getting involved with horses at any level. With claiming purses at places such as Philly Park, a $7500 claiming rave has a $25000 purse, we feel that this is a great avenue for new owners to get started with the goal of moving up to allowance races and take advantage of this lucrative purse structure.
Steeplechase
Even though our main focus is on flat racing, having both been involved extensively with steeplechasing for years, it is hard to let go of this alluring sport. We are quite comfortable starting off young green horses over fences and bringing them on to run over either hurdles or timber, it is also a fantastic option for horses who have either run out of conditions on the flat or very simply lost interest.
Breaking
Having both had years of experience starting off young horses we have developed a comprehensive breaking program that has sent many horses off to various tracks to compete with success.
Bloodstock Services
If you are looking for a flat horse or want to go jumping, we’ll find exactly what you’re looking for in any price range. We also offer assistance buying horses at the sales, such as Keeneland and Fasig Tipton.
